Jawan Martyred, Two Assam Rifles Personnel Injured in Gun Battle with Suspected Kuki Terrorists in Manipur
In a tragic incident, a Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan lost his life, while two Assam Rifles personnel sustained injuries during a gun battle with suspected Kuki terrorists in Manipur's Kakching district. The incident took place in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
The martyred soldier has been identified as Ranjit Yadav, who was deployed at the Serou Practical High School in Sugnu area. The terrorists launched an attack by opening fire at the BSF troops stationed there, resulting in the fatal encounter.
The injured personnel from the Assam Rifles were immediately evacuated and are currently receiving medical treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by security forces in maintaining peace and security in volatile areas.
